JJ Dog Training specializes in task-based service dog preparation. We focus on training dogs to perform meaningful, specific tasks that provide genuine support for handlers—not just teaching commands or simple obedience.

Most traditional dog training is oriented toward good behavior. Sit, stay, heel, come. These are useful commands, but they're not what makes a service dog. A service dog performs specific tasks that support its handler. Deep pressure therapy during anxiety. Alert behaviors during panic. Grounding presence during overwhelm.

Real-world preparation is essential. Service dogs don't work in quiet training rooms. They work in airports, restaurants, crowded streets, and high-stress environments. We prepare your dog for the actual conditions it will face, not just controlled scenarios.

Handler integration is the foundation of success. A perfectly trained dog is only as effective as the handler's ability to work with it, maintain behaviors, and recognize when their dog is trying to help. We work directly with handlers to build confidence, competence, and partnership with their dog.
